Picked up this pattern recently and although I had trouble with one pattern instruction ( totally my fault, I'd managed to add 1 extra stitch on the end of the previous row... teach me not to crochet a 3.30 am! ) this is a truly lovely pattern. It works up very quickly and I'm finishing the edging right now, and am planing on making more in different colour ways. I found that the yarn required was very generous as I have several balls left despite the fact that my gauge is a little big ( could be the difference between US & UK yarn there tbh ) Its not a difficult pattern and I would encourage crocheters of all skill levels to give this a go as the instructions are clear and there are stitch guides to be had right here on Annie's, not to mention helpful staff.
BUY EXTRA YARN. I would have given this pattern a 5 star except for the fact that I ran short of yarn. I am on gauge and had purchased 3 skeins for size small and am unable to finish the last row and a half on the edging. I contacted customer service and I can not get another skein. This is very disappointing, I will have to rethink and rework the edging using another stitch.
I bought this pattern 2 weeks ago and just finished my vest. It is everything I expected. The only adjustment I had to make to the pattern was for the arm hole size. I had to increase the number of stitches for the arm hold because it was too small (6 inches) and then adjust the number of stitches for that row so I would have the same number of stitches.
