In many cases, you'll be able to pull together enough fabrics from your stash to complete an entire quilt. Because some of these projects would be perfect for charity quilts, consider the possibility of using fabrics you have on hand to make someone else a special, much-needed gift. It Takes Three

September 13, 2014

Do you have three yards of fabric? If so, you can make any of the quilts in this book. While they might not fit a king sized bed, they are made with love and the receiver will cherish them. There are eight projects and a section on quilting basics. Any tips are set off in a colored box. Each begins with a sentence about the quilt followed by the skill level. Any project notes are found next and then the finished quilt and block size and number of blocks. A materials and cutting list are clearly written and graphics are inserted to help you along. Written instructions are easy to follow. There are no quilting suggestions but the author leaves it up to your creativity. There are alternative sizes on some of the items that tell you how many blocks and rows to add to create a larger quilt. This book will help you clear out those "what do I do with a yard of fabric"Âť pieces in your stash.
