Technique - Crochet

Design can be worn as a dress or cropped as a short midriff top.

This lacy swing top is both flirty and feminine. Worked in two identical pieces from the decollete down, the size is determined by the amount of rows crocheted. The shell pattern is repeated throughout with increasing every third row making the pattern easy to follow and quick to make. Made using DK weight yarn; sizes are written for women's S, M, L.

I am disappointed with this pattern. Written directions are confusing and difficult to follow. What I have done so far does not resemble the pictures given. That being said ... the pictures included really do not help with construction. I would appreciate clearly written instructions, pictures that clarify construction and a pattern diagram. I understand that the pattern is easily modified for sizes by increasing every 3rd row but clarification as to general numbers of rows needed for sizes would be helpful. I expect more from Annie's for a pattern priced in this range.

I found this pattern highly overpriced. The instructions are vague and not very precise. No real measurements were given and the pictures provided were useless. I used a crocheting thread and it looks nice. It was and easy pattern to do once you are able to decipher the lousy instructions.

I too have a problem with this pattern. I says it provides 3 sizes (S,M,L) but only gives one set of instructions. Have not heard back from my inquiry and am anxious to make it. I don't want to have to pull my work apart.

I would love to tell you that this pattern was easy to complete and that I now wear this beautiful piece but the reality is that I cannot make sense of the directions, the pictures are extremely poor and no diagram is provided. I have asked for help from the website one week ago and still no answer.
For now this was a loss of time and resources.

I would give this pattern 5 stars but wearing as a dress I don't see as feasible. I made two out of different grams of sport yarn, each resulting in a very nice finished product. One was more wintertime and one with fun summer colors. I did use variegated yarn for the summer top using a matching solid for the trim. Pattern is easy to follow with quick results.
