Brilliant class. I've always wanted to be able to knit socks and use dpns. The instructions are comprehensive and perfect for a beginner. The instructor takes you through the process, step by step and explains everything clearly as she's going along. I really appreciated being able to review sections too. I'm now on my third pair of socks and am confident using dpns.
Highly recommend this class, thank you!

The class was to the point and quite excellent, I thought. The review capabilities are of course an Annie standard feature, and in this case come in especially handy. The only thing I really needed more help with and felt could have been improved was how to get the socks correctly mounted on 3 (in my case, 4) needles to begin with. Of course, the difficulties I had could've been my own fault, since I selected another pattern, an easier one for house slippers, to start with, thinking that it would be easier to learn on something more basic. I had therefore to adapt what I learned from Lisa's pattern to my new pattern. The hardest part was the very beginning, because I only had 8 stitches to mount on the 4 holding needles, and the sticks kept falling out, or getting twisted when I tried to do the first round or two. The rounds after that were quite easy. And of course, once I began working on an actual sock by Lisa's pattern, the whole matter became much easier even though I was knitting onto 4 sticks instead of her 3, because the more stitches you have to put on, the easier it is to do, because the stitches on each needle hold the whole structure in place if there's a greater number of them. So, that's the only part I felt could've been improved, letting us see more of how to start, and an example of the 5 total stick method as well. The rest was all copacetic.

This video was very helpful. I followed the instructor for my first sock, using the pattern provided. I just started a different sock pattern and went back to watch again when I got to the heel! Very much appreciated the ability to watch again and again!

This is a great dvd for a new knitter learning on dpns. If you want to master the other methods, it is not as informative. I realize that I can rewind as many times as I need in order to master a technique, but the instructor flies through the Kitchener stitch and doesn't really explain it well. So on my project, the grafting of the toe looked funny and didn't turn out like hers. My only problem with the class was the toe part.

I thought the class was very helpful. Very easy to follow and clear on each step of the process for socks on DPNs. I hope she does a class on circular needles start to finish in the future,
