Notes From the Sewing Room

If learning a new skill is your new year's resolution, why not take an online class? They are affordable, and you don't have to worry about finding one nearby. You could even take one on a snowy day without leaving home. Your friends will be so impressed by your newfound skills.

Currently Available Online Classes:

  • Learn to Knit Socks with Lisa Carnahan: From heel to toe, all the information you need is in this class; it is suitable for the crafter with a basic understanding of knitting.
  • Fundamentals of Freehand Long-Arm Quilting with Terri Watson: By the end of this class, quilters will be able to load and stitch quilts with the proper tension using six versatile quilting motifs.
  • Tunisian Cables & Lace with Kim Guzman: Add to your basic Tunisian crochet skills by learning easy cables and lace stitches!

Good luck with getting your sewing space in tip-top shape this new year. I look forward to a whole new year of sharing sewing ideas, inspirations, challenges, tools and techniques. If you have an idea for 2013, please write in; your idea could be featured in a future newsletter.

Sew far, sew good,
