Editor's Introduction

Spring has arrived! The weather in your area may or may not be cooperating, but it is in fact spring and that means it is time to plant flowers, hear the chirping of birds and spring cleaning! Spring cleaning can be a boring excuse to go through your linen closet or pantry, or it can be a chance to go through your fabric stash and make something amazing.

Maybe you bought some fabric with a pattern in mind, or maybe you bought a piece of cloth you love because it was on sale. This is the perfect time to get started on a project, finish an old one, or come up with a new idea for those odds and ends lying around your sewing room. Pull out a piece of cloth you love and make yourself a new piece of clothing or make a gift for someone you love. Get an early start for Mother's Day or Father's Day or springtime graduations, or make something for a local charity or fundraising sale.
