A ribbon patchwork technique that I call Lazy Log Cabin is a wonderful way to use up all the colored bits of ribbon you may have in your stash. I call it "Lazy" Log Cabin because I do not have to do any piecing to create the block. By placing the rows of ribbon side by side and taking advantage of the finished selvage edges, I just fuse them down on a background fabric and then zigzag over the edges to hold them in place and add a decorative detail. Here's a tutorial from my blog.
