Favor-pressing bias tape
For a quick edge finish, try favor-pressing bias tape before you sew it onto your projects. To favor-press, press the tape slightly wider on one side than on the other. Sew the short side to the wrong side of the fabric first; then turn the tape to the right side and topstitch.
