I used fat quarters and cut my strips. The Maywood Studios flannel fabrics are velvety and easy to work with if you use BestPress before cutting. The directions are very easy to follow, but I would call it VERY confident beginner. If you don't already have good quilting experience things like squaring the blocks to size could be a challenge. This is a lovely quilt!!

I fell in love with this quilt when I first saw it listed. I ordered the flannel material that was featured on the directions. It went together easily. This was the first time using pre cuts & I'm not sure I'll go back to cutting my own fabric again, I'm hooked on how well seams lined up together. Fun quilt to make as there was no rhym or reason on what colors went where. A lot of fabric & mis matching in the beginning.
