To make the first foundation single crochet stitch: Ch 2, insert hook into 2nd ch from hook, yo, pull up a lp, yo, pull through 1 lp on hook (see illustration A-ch-1 cpmpleted), yo, pull through all lps on hook (see illustrations B and C - sc completed).
