I made this blanket for my soon to arrive granddaughter as a Christening blanket. A total of 102,720 stitches, which took approximately 184 hours to knit. I used Plymouth "Dreambaby DK". The finished blanket was not as soft as I had hoped it would be. I've been knitting for 50 years and I found this pattern to be challenging. You are continuously increasing and decreasing stitches to produce the lacy pattern, so it is easy to make an error. I would recommend using stitch markers(10)to mark the beginning of each of the 19 lace patterns per row. I chose this pattern because of the unique border and it is lovely.
