I made Pierre the Parrot and Ophelia the Ostrich. They turned out great. I had a little trouble with the neck of the parrot, but I incorporated some of my crochet skills and it worked. The ostrich, I could not get the hang of the (loops) so I substitute the loops with Bernat Brand Fizzy yarn for the head and top but, I used Boutique Fizzle yarn for the body. I just shaped the yarn into a ball and it worked out great. Thank goodness for the new yarns available today. Overall these patterns are easy to follow. I would recommend them.

I made the parrot back in the day! Cute and easy. Excellent patterns as were all the patterns from the 80's. Bring Back Debbie Ann!
