Adama Cowl Knit Pattern
A real diamond in the rough!
Named for the Latin word for "diamond," this beautiful project is shaped like a shawl, but the second half is worked in the round to create the illusion of a semicircular shawl worn wrapped around the neck without ends to worry about tying. The majority of the cowl is done in a simple diamond lace pattern, with bands of stockinette and garter stitch to break things up. Knit with approximately 300 yds of #4 worsted-weight yarn at a gauge of 15 sts and 20 rows per 4" using a U.S. size 9/4mm 16"-24" circular needle. Finished size is 22 1/2" in circumference at the top opening x 18"H at center front x 9"H at back.
