The entire shawl is worked sideways with the leaf edging worked at the same time, and the 6-row repeat is easy to memorize.

This design is made using 764 yards of fingering-weight yarn and a size D/3/3.25mm crochet hook.

I really enjoyed this pattern. The instructions were easy to follow, although I mostly used the diagram. I ended up using a 3.5mm hook, so you will need another additional ball of drops if you go to 3.5-4mm hook size. Lots of compliments on the shawl and just don't tell anyone how easy it was to make :)

I have been an Annie's fan since they typed their patterns 30+ years ago and mailed them. Still have a few! Annie's does not disappoint! I am a simple crocheter who decided to expand my skills. This pattern is easy to follow. The scarf is gorgeous. I am not using wool, too scratchy for NC winters! I am already planning my next scarf! Love, love this pattern and everything I have purchased from Annie's!
