With its delicate lace and figure flattering styling, Marilyn will quickly become an essential in your wardrobe. Marilyn can be worn over a camisole or tank top, or for more coverage, wear it over a blouse. For a more modest neckline, extra rows can easily be added. Marilyn is made from the top down, making it easy to check the fit as you go. Seamless construction means that once the crocheting is finished you can wear it immediately! Pattern includes instructions for sizes S3X, finished garment schematics and a crochet lace stitch diagram/chart. Model shown uses Omega Size 5 crochet cotton thread sold at AnniesCatalog.com.

I love the way that this top is working out not quite finished yet. Like the top down method. I'm using a cotton yarn not thread probably 3ply (I'm in the UK). I had to use a smaller hook because of this. Found the cast on method challenging at first but once I got the hang of it was fine, can't wait to wear my creation!

I love this pattern and have had no trouble with it. I have been using a Size 5 crochet thread (doubled) and made it longer. Have made the most beautiful swimsuit cover-ups!

I am having trouble with these directions starting with rnd 2. Ch 1 and then 3 sc, 3 sc in what stitch/stitches and what does it mean stating 7 sc after 2 sc in next sc? These directions are vague to say the least. You shouldn't sell directions that do not make sense. I feel like I have paid for something I cannot even make. I have crocheted and read patterns for 40+ years.
