Wonderful instructions. I'm a advanced beginner and this class fits me to a t! She is a great teacher.

I found the pace of this class to be too variable. Some steps were shown in excruciating detail while other steps were termed "tricky" by the instructor but were not shown in detail or at all, such as the joining of the cornerstones in the turquoise quilt. This seemed to be a beginner class when it started but in later segments, many steps were just glossed over. Nancy is obviously enthusiastic about quilting and teaching but the pace of instruction needs to be more consistent. I would like to try some of the projects, so this class was inspirational in that regard, but the instruction itself needs improvement.

For me it was poor, this is a beginner sewing project. I would not have done things the way she did and I would have made better use of the feet that came with the machine.

Hi Everyone! I am in the process of finishing my first quilting class with Nancy McNally. I just want to comment on how wonderful she is as an instructor. I will be following the beginners' class with the "quilt as you go" and then, the "paper piecing" instructions. I just think Nancy is the absolute greatest and hope she continues to share her vast wealth of quilting knowledge with us again and again. Love you, NANCY!!!

This is a great class! I have done some quilt as you go projects before but only did them because no joining was required. Nancy McNally does a great job of teaching this course. Each project that she demonstrates makes me want to run shop my stash and start sewing! Not only does she provide great patterns for terrific projects, her instruction is clear, concise, and thorough. She has a great sense of humor and brings a bubbly energy to the classroom that I find inviting and not fake. In addition, I asked a question and she responded within a matter of hours - I figured it would be at least a day before I got a response so how awesome is that?! I tend to favor learning to quilt by taking online courses rather than packing up my machine and going to my LQS and am so glad that I decided to purchase this one!
