I liked this class and didn't find it too fast to comprehend. I was glad for the info on fabric types and the best thread types for each, which I hadn't found in any book. I'm doing a practice piece and had a question that wasn't answered, but I emailed Katherine and hope to get an answer soon.

This class is not very good. She just assumes we all know exactly what to do. I wish she would have shown more how to follow the patterns and went slower on the first small projects so we could understand better how the stitches were done. All I am getting out of this class is total frustration.

The instructor perhaps forgets what it's like to be a beginner. She moves too fast on the stitches and does not explain where she is going on the cloth. The video is shot at a side glance and therefore it leaves it troublesome to see where she is going with the next stitch or how far down she is going. Love the embroidery and the instructor is very knowledgeable but not great at teaching,

I will be watching the class many more times as I go along in learning this craft. I thought Katherine did a really nice job showing the stitches and going over the stitch types twice is a big help. I'm glad she showed the finishing techniques in such detail. I have been a cross stitcher for years and was delighted that this can also be done on Aida cloth. it's a nice switch up and less time-consuming than doing a full cross stitch design but would also make very nice borders for cross stitch designs. if you are interested in Swedish weaving I would recommend this inexpensive tutorial which can be watched as much as you like.

Hello, I love the class the instructor is very knowledgeable and knows the craft very well. Sometimes the video looks blurry and cuts off a little but overall is a great class I'm happy with the purchase. I do have a question what kind of material is Cordonne I don't know if I'm spelling the word the right way, but I'm interested in that thread or yarn but I can't find any information. I'll appreciate it if the instructor shares that information. Thank you very much.

I loved this class! Katherine Kennedy explained and demonstrated the techniques well and I was able to pick up on the stitches quickly. Since I took the class two weeks ago, I've already finished the Holiday Charm ornament in the blue and white colorway, and have the materials ordered for the Crossroads Runner. Plus, I have some vintage Huck Embroidery patterns passed on by a friend whose grandmother had passed away, and I was able to make a special towel for him using one of the patterns from her book. I'm truly addicted already (am already working on a second towel from the vintage book) and can't thank you enough for teaching this lifelong needleworker a new, fun skill. Thank you!

Ms. Kennedy moves too fast and did not explain certain techniques very well. I understand that it is easy to her, but every time she told me how easy it was, I felt like I was stupid for still having questions. My main desire was to learn how to read the patterns - what stitches went where, how to count the stitches, etc. Still don't understand.

Great tutorial! It was easy for me to follow, and I learned the Nun stitch. I now use this stitch to finish my projects. I am starting on a Crossroads afghan as my next Swedish weaving adventure.
