I have the small and dual-ended, purple versions of this seam ripper and they're my favorites. They're sharp and sturdy, but it's the 'eraser' ends that are magical to remove those tiny, loose, picked treads. Much easier on the fingers, fingernails, and fabrics, than picking them out by hand.
