I love these, use them for short-row shaping as well as counting by 10's when doing a lot of cast-on stitches -- to cast on, say, 184 stitches, I get out 18 rings and put one on every ten stitches. The biggest problem is losing them; my recliner chair seems to eat all small things!

I am sorry Alice has problems with these; I have bilateral carpal tunnel as well, and arthritis, and I find these the easiest and best markers I have ever used, and I have used numerous types. The little one that look like safety pins are useless and they are so brittle they usually break with first use. The little green ones that are circular have sharp edges and snag the yarn, which can be especially frustrating and they are harder to remove than they are to put on. These split rings are lovely: they are completely smooth and don't snag your yarn, as long as you remember to insert and remove from the straight side, not the side with the lock post. I have used them with everything from crochet thread to Super Chunky and they work every time. Simply the best. I have purchased 4 packages because I work several projects at once, and they are a wonderful way, along with counters, to keep track of especially complicated or many row/stitch patter projects. with the three colors, you will always find one at least that will stand out from the color of your yarn.

I give these only 2 stars because I have carpel tunnel and they were very hard to unhook. I will try one of the other type.

Fantastic! Easy to use, snag free! Great addition to knit /crochet accessories and I haven't seen this type anywhere else, I checked other sites too. The size works for so many patterns that it was a must buy for me.

I love these markers. They are easy to use, won't snag yarn, soft yet sturdy. Best of all they lock into position with ease and stay until you remove them, best markers I have ever used and here is the only place to get them.
