Sunburst Sling Bags Knit Pattern

Technique - Knit

These gracefully shaped bags knit up quickly and are so fun to knit and comfortable to carry. Bags are knit in easy short rows with no wrap-and-turn. Sizes range from a giant tote to a small purse. Size of bag depends on yarn used.

Shown in the Sunburst photo, left to right:
Large in Recycled Silk on US #8 (5 mm) needles,
Medium in bulky green chenille on US #7 (4.5 mm) needles, and
Medium in periwinkle Ironstone Island Cotton on US #10 (6 mm) needles.
The yarn size makes the difference!

You can see a wooden 12" ruler at the lower left in the photo to get an idea of sizes.
Medium size requires 200 yds. (bulky chenille) to 450 yds. (Island Cotton)
Large requires 375 yds. (Recycled Silk)
Use needles 2 sizes smaller than normal for your yarn.
