Emma of London is dressed for the spring May Day Celebration and ready to take a basket of flowers to leave on her neighbor’s doorstep. She wears a dress inspired by the famous illustrator of children’s books Kate Greenaway. Although the dresses in Greenaway’s books were considered old fashioned in 1889, a large London store launched a line of children’s fashions based on her drawings and little girls loved them. Emma and her family will attend the May Day Parade and the many festivities in the park. Crochet with baby or sport weight yarn.
