I wish I learned from her first instead of teaching myself through those how to knit books. Now I understand what she meant to be a mindful knitter. I am not done with doing a quick review of the class, but I can see it is packed with stitches for me to learn. I am glad I am still a beginner. I can correct myself and not just stick the needle into the hole and wrap the yarn whichever way without thinking.

I am taking a class on this video. I live in a retirement village in Arizona and the group is called Knit one Crochet 2 in my class is about 11 ladies learning to read a pattern. I am not an experienced knitter so the class was over whelming for me so when I came home I learned the stitches and finished my swatch.

Being an experienced knitter, many of the things Patty taught were reviews or reminders of things I do. What I liked. thought is that Patty explained the whys of some of those things that I have done for 60 years, such as twisting a stitch. I never knew exactly why I did what I did. I definitely would buy another Patty Lyons video class, as a matter of fact, I have all the ones offered by Annie's which feature Patty's teaching just because of her great wealth of knowledge about knitting. With so much emphasis on crocheting, it's refreshing to see her passion for the traditional skill of knitting.

I was not happy with video. I didn't learn what I expected to learn from this class. I expected to learn to read stitches and master the pattern. It was not organized either. I am very disappointed with my purchase. I probably won't buy another video from Annie"s.
