Are you a crocheter who enjoys learning new crochet stitches? If so, you won't want to miss this exciting crochet class taught by longtime designer and instructor Debra Arch. Crocodile stitch is a favorite among many crocheters because of its interesting texture and dimension. In fact, it gets its name because the stitches actually look like crocodile scales!

In this crochet video, Debra will first demonstrate how to crochet the basic crocodile stitch used in many patterns. She'll then expand your skills with crochet lessons teaching you how to work this stitch in four amazing techniques--in the vertical, in the round, in the flat and in the circular. With Debra as your guide, you'll stitch nine pretty crochet patterns including an elegant lotus scarf, a skinny sequin scarf, easy headband and ear warmer, a beautiful cowl, cozy boot toppers, pineapple trivet, ruffled pillow and a whimsical owl purse. In this class, you'll learn:
  • How to crochet the basic crocodile stitch
  • Four techniques for crocheting crocodile stitch -- in the vertical, in the round, in the flat and in the circular
  • How to increase and decrease crocheted crocodile scales
  • How to crochet a stretchy single crochet foundation chain ideal for headbands and hats
  • Many of Debra's personal crocheting tips and tricks
  • How to crochet nine pretty and practical crocodile stitch patterns
Beginner crocheters able to chain, single crochet and double crochet will be able to successfully complete this class.

I love this video and how the instructor explained everything. I am so happy that she showed how the stitch was done with the FRONT of the stitch showing on the outside instead of the wrong side facing outwards. Thank you so very very much!!

Debra is a knowledgeable instructor. I viewed 3 out of 5 instructions so far. The instructions were clear, and I can't wait to get started making scarves in the round and vertical projects.

Debra is an excellent instructor. It is taking me a long time to do this I know. I have severe R.A. and sometimes my hands do not co-operate. I am determined to master this stitch; I continue to work on it. Thanks Debra for this video; it is a beautiful stitch.

I now have a beautiful cowl as a result of this class. I was confused initially, asked the teacher some questions that were answered, watched the video, and made a practice piece that was full of mistakes. Then I tried again, and got it right! It is simple, once you 'get it'. Thanks so much!

If the instructor would slow down, not everyone is as fast and it became very frustrating to have to stop and re-watch the video over again, and in no way can you produce the projects without the video. Please slow down or show the stitch in slow motion.
