Debra Arch has published hundreds of crochet, knitting, hand-applique, machine sewing, quilting and needlepoint on plastic canvas designs published in various publications over the past 15 years. Since the age of 9, the inspiration and instruction Debra received from her mother, grandmother, 4-H leaders and home-economics teachers gave her a passion for learning all types of crafts. She started crocheting in high school when her grandmother showed her the basics of crochet. Debra has continued her grandmother's legacy by teaching others the art of crochet, knitting and quilting.
While Debra frequently had designed projects for herself and to give as gifts, it wasn't until 1998 that Debra started her professional designing career by submitting her original designs to publishers. Debra has produced 10 pattern books for Annie's, she crochets and knits designs for Annie's Hook and Needle Club, and she is a frequent contributor to Crochet! and Crochet World magazines. Debra has a talent for developing new tips and tricks, which she shares with her students to simplify techniques, making their crafting experiences easier and more fun!
Debra adds, "I feel privileged to have this opportunity to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for crochet. Crochet is a life skill that will last a lifetime. Crocheting beautiful, useful items for oneself or to give as gifts for family members and friends brings a sense of accomplishment and gives personal satisfaction that enriches one's life."
Debra is an excellent instructor. It is taking me a long time to do this I know. I have severe R.A. and sometimes my hands do not co-operate. I am determined to master this stitch; I continue to work on it. Thanks Debra for this video; it is a beautiful stitch.
I now have a beautiful cowl as a result of this class. I was confused initially, asked the teacher some questions that were answered, watched the video, and made a practice piece that was full of mistakes. Then I tried again, and got it right! It is simple, once you 'get it'. Thanks so much!
If the instructor would slow down, not everyone is as fast and it became very frustrating to have to stop and re-watch the video over again, and in no way can you produce the projects without the video. Please slow down or show the stitch in slow motion.
Thanks to Debra for all your help and attention you've provided me. I am delighted that I was able to make the cowl and it was a great project to make. I would like to recommend this to all customers to learn the crocodile. Debra is a good instructor and generous to share her ideas and techniques. I am giving Debra 5 stars!
