Block 9 is the Louisiana block in the Midnight Mystery quiltalong. In this Quilter's Skill Builders episode, quilting expert Nancy McNally teaches you how to make a 3-color flying geese unit. It involves cutting a square on the diagonal twice to create 4 triangles and working on the bias edge. You'll learn tips such as how putting the straight-of-grain edges on the outside of a unit adds stability, and how to sew over the thick center seam where all the units come together.
