Does learning tapestry or intarsia crochet seem intimidating? Don’t worry – Rachel Alford is going to walk you through each step of the way. Originally designed by Reci Washington, the simple color changes and easy shapes of this design is a great introduction to tapestry and colorwork crochet.

In this class, you’ll learn how to:
• Read a tapestry crochet chart
• Change colors mid row
• Crochet over a color not in use
• Drop a color to pick up in a later row
• Make fringe

• Lily Sugar’n Cream medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn (2 ½ oz/ 120 yds/ 71g per skein):
  • 2 skeins #1115-44 linen (A)
  • 1 skein #1115-35 pecan (B)
  • 1 skein #1115-38 mustard (C)
  • 1 skein #1115-45 teal (D)
• Size H/8/5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• 6-inch piece of cardboard for fringe
