This is the only thing I've ever bought from Clotilde/Annie's that I didn't like. Yes, it's only a sticker, but the idea is great! Unfortunately, it began peeling up and sticking to my projects and then would not stick back again. SOOOO disappointed.

This simply does not work on my machine (Viking). 1) I use the free arm a lot and having this stuck to the removable part would be an inconvenience, not to mention not helping. 2) There is no 5/8" mark; it seems like a no-brainer since most patterns have a 5/8" seam allowance. 3) It is just a piece of paper with adhesive on the back - I don't think it would last through 3 or 4 projects and would probably leave a residue if you tried to remove it.

When I first started learning to sew (back in the stone age), I put this tape on my sewing machine to insure an accurate seam allowance past what was marked on the feed plate. It worked great. Not only for learning to sew for my family but also when I branched out and began to sew for others. I am about to teach several other people the art of sewing and began to look for my "old" friend for them. I am using older machines to teach and once again need the aid of the seam tape. I plan to buy it in quantity this time and put some up for later use. I AM SO GLAD IT IS STILL BEING MADE!!!!!

I have had one of these on my Phaff7570 since I got it because the needle plate is metric (the only thing I have an issue with on this machine), and since I don't sew metric I need standard measurements. This is the only thing I've found that works at all. I had to make a couple of cuts to make it fit and the printing is getting pretty faded over time, but until I find something else that's better, this is what I'm using. My machine does not have a drop in bobbin so that's not an issue for me.
