Big Sister Angel Quilt Pattern
It looks far more complicated than it actually is to create. Just fuse the pieces to background fabric. Machine stitching finishes the edges and provides the quilting for this 32" x 44" quilt.

I found this pattern to be exact in the directions. This came out so beautiful. My daughter loved this pattern and everyone who sees it loves it as well. I didn't have any problems tracing or applying to background fabric. I used a regular pencil in my tracing and marks didn't show at all. If you want a beautiful pattern, I would highly recommend buying this one. I will be making more of these for gifts.

I had problems making this fit together, then realized if you cut on the inside line you will be missing a lot of space in the end. I recommend using the outside of the line for the cutting of the pieces. My angel is a bit shorter than the pattern, but looks good. It is amazing how many people see the angel and how many see nothing. I traced my pattern onto fusible web fabric with a #2 pencil, and then cut out the pieces.

I had been admiring this pattern for a couple of years and finally decided to order it to make a quilt for my friend's birthday. I also made it into a wall hanging to raffle off as a fund raiser for the group I am with. I really enjoyed making these quilting items. I secured the pattern to my patio door and traced out the pattern then I pinned each piece to my background. A word of caution when tracing though, I first used a yellow tailors chalk but unfortunately the colour embedded itself into the fabric and no matter what I tried I couldn't get the colour out (I had to do this one over again) so I tried a fusion pen. If you press too hard with this pen the markings turn white when ironed but at least it can be removed with a wet cloth. I was working with dark backgrounds (black and a deep turquoise). I'm am very happy with the final results and everyone thinks the final product is beautiful. I wish I could upload a photo to show you the results.
