I truly love the way Ellen teaches. She is on point and explains things in a simple but professional manner without making you feel stupid, and I am truly thankful for Ellen.
The reason why I am giving this video 3 stars is because when I first ordered it, there was a defect where the sound is missing and you cannot hear what Ellen is saying. I returned the video for a replacement and it's still the same way as the one I returned, or is it same video? There was another DVD class that I ordered that had the same problem, but the replacement video was fine. The quality control people need to be more diligent about this. It's no fun to have ordered something, and having to send it back, and wait again for it to arrive.

I have been trying to crochet by reading. Never got very far. This is extra excellent video. I cannot tell you valuable this video is. Ellen Gormley is very very excellent. She explains everything and so goes slow enough whereby you can really see and follow along with her. If you want to crochet, this is a very valuable class to take. I am so glad that I spent the money for it.

I have been trying to teach myself to crochet; reading books and watching videos on the internet. While the books and videos were helpful, purchasing the Learning to Crochet DVD has been the BEST money I could have spent. Ellen Gormley is a fantastic teacher. I feel more confident that I can crochet properly and produce beautiful items. THANKS to ANNIE'S Crafts!!

I am a beginner, didn't even have hooks or yarn. This is a wonderful DVD set. Explains by showing both right handed and left, and repeats stitches. DVD lets you pick the lesson and go over until skilled. The only complaint I have is that I wish in the very beginning she would of listed for us what type of yarn and needle to buy before we start the DVD. It took me a while to decide on the yarn to buy, and what needle she was using for the demonstrations! Otherwise, really glad I spent the money on this, and it is a very, very good tutorial.
