This dress is constructed in such a way that it can not be taken off and on. The lace overlay is attached all the way around the dress and the small opening in the back is not sufficient for getting an 18" doll out of the dress. The dress is lovely for a "display doll," but don't make it for you granddaughter's doll that she plays with!

I love these doll clothes. Dolls are one of my downfalls. I am 78 and still a girl at heart┬Ć. I have lost all my dolls, but am gradually replacing them. I have crocheted self taught since 17. I love to crochet for dolls. Thanks Annie for making it possible. Bobbi

I love these doll dress pattern. I used to make porcelain dolls a few years ago. (I am now 78) My granddaughter has them all. I fell in love with these patterns when I saw them and want to crochet the whole set to give to her for the dolls she has. It wont matter if they turn out smaller or larger, she will have one they will fit.

I love it - partly because butterflies are very precious to me and making cloths for all of the family 18' dolls. all together we have about 15 and all dressed in their favorite costumes. The pattern is well written and I enjoyed making this project. Thanks, always looking for more like this for our crocheting fun.

I made this dress for my great niece for Christmas. I entered in local fair one first place. I enjoyed the pattern.
