1950's Retro Blanket Crochet Pattern
Take a step back to the 50's!
Diners, drive-ins, poodle skirts, saddle shoes and Swanson TV dinners! Gas was $0.19 a gallon and the average income was $4,100 a year. Classic colors of cherry red, rosy cheeks pink, turquoise and bright ivory define the ‘50’s. Simple stripes and a pom-pom border bring the decade to today’s home. You only need to know two stitches, single crochet and double crochet. Afghan is made using 4 colors of worsted weight yarn. Afghan measures 70" x 47", but includes stitch multiples so you can make it any size you wish. Designed by Sheila Zachariae.
