I bought this pattern at a local yarn shop a while back. I did not have any issues with the instructions. It is very easy to make. Everyone loves this scarf, I get tons of compliments.

Hello, I have also had a question regarding the choice of yarn for this pattern before I purchase everything. When Annie's customer service replied to Judith T " Hold one strand of light lace yarn together with one strand of worsted as the pattern is worked." Do you mean on strand of light lace yarn the same color as the worsted yarn? Does that mean we need to purchase 1 hank of CC1, 1 hank of CC2, one hank of MC yarn and then 2 hanks of lace yarn in 3 different matching colors? Sorry I am new to this (and my first language is French) so I am wondering what MC, CC1 and CC2 stands for. I was also wondering if I can substitute the yarn and what you would recommend as I would like to have a blue or teal colored scarf. Thanks in advance :D
Annie's Customer Service

Nathalie - For the 3-color variation MC is main color, CC1 is the first contrasting color CC2 is a second contrasting color of the worsted-weight yarn. You pick one color of lace-weight yarn that goes nicely with the other worsted-weight yarns you have selected.

The scarf is made in sections. You will make one section with the MC worsted-weight yarn and lace-weight yarn held together. You will make a second section with the CC1 worsted-weight yarn and lace-weight yarn held together. You will then make a third section with the worsted-weight yarn and lace-weight yarn held together. These sections are then assembled together to create the scarf.

I have the same questions as Jacquelyn M! I wish Customer Service had answered her questions within this review! I would have benefited from it!
This is a beautiful scarf! Can't wait to see how it works up.
Annie's Customer Service

Judith - Hold one strand of light lace yarn together with one strand of worsted as the pattern is worked. The pattern is worked in sections and then put together to give an intertwined or braided look as in the photo.

I'm IN THE SAME BOAT AS ROSE. I HAVE THREE CIRCULAR NEEDLES AND THREE BERROCO VINTAGE YARNS (THREE DIFFERENT COLORS) AND THREE BABY ALPACA LACE YARNS (THREE DIFFERENT COLORS). DO YOU HAVE A MORE DETAILED TUTORIAL YOU CAN SEND ME ON HOW TO GET STARTED WITH THIS SCARF. ONCE I GET IT STARTED, I'M CONFIDENT THAT I CAN DO THE REST. MY MAIN QUESTION IS: DO I USE ONE BABY ALPACA LACE YARN WITH EACH OF THE VINTAGE YARNS? ON THE BEGINNING SECTON BORDER, WHAT DOES "CARRY NON-WORKING YARN UP THE SIDE BY TWISTING THE TWO YARNS TOGETHER" MEAN?

I LOVE THE SCARF AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE QUITE EXPENSIVE TO MAKE SINCE I PURCHASED ALL THE NICE YARNS, BUT IT WILL BE A WASTE IF I CAN'T GET IT STARTED. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.
