Stunning Afghans in Episode Two!

It's time for me to settle in and review the second episode of Knit and Crochet Now!, season eight. Getting to know the show has been so much fun for me, and it is perfect TV for me to knit along with. And I love watching other experts because I feel like I always learn something. It's fascinating to me to watch the different ways folks work and do things, and I'm firmly of the opinion that learning new things is what keeps you young!

Do you crochet or knit while watching our show? I like to have a project that's mainly mindless knitting when I'm watching -- like stockinette stitch or garter stitch -- so I can still pay attention and learn. I never seem to have empty hands when I am watching TV; it just feels alien to me at this point. But when I'm watching Knit and Crochet Now!, I always like to have scrap yarn and needles and hook handy in case I want to try out a technique they're demonstrating right away!

Will the folks on your holiday gift list be receiving handcrafted gifts? This episode of Knit and Crochet Now! features jaw-dropping afghans presented by our master crafters. They demonstrate how you can turn yarn into something that will be cherished and used forever. Also, both of these afghans are worked in panels, which makes for a more portable project, and is kind to your most important crafting tool -- your hands!
