I'm a Beginner Quilter & I was so amazed with Gyleen's precise instructions about how to calculate the dimensions of her beautiful Quilt with Pieced Borders & Floating Borders! She is an Excellent Instructor! I can't wait to find out about her other Quilts & Classes!

I've had this DVD for many months, but never "bothered" to read/watch the end chapters - goodness, my error -- they are the BEST. Especially, how to figure inner border widths when you have a quilt and a pieced border - I've always fiddled and Also, her suggestions for pieced backings are delightful and so helpful! I LOVE the DVD, and also, LOVE her DVD on Pineapple Quilts. Hope to see more of her excellent classes and gentle yet accurate approach to quilting.

Brilliant teacher and Excellent class. I feel confident enough now to piece my borders on to my quilts, with Gyleen's help.
Thank you!

I have been quilting for years but have never done a pieced border without it being written in a pattern. This class was excellent. I now feel confident enough to change the pattern and make a pieced border to fit my quilt. Thank you

This is only the second quilt I've ever made and I'm proud to say that I'm a quilter at 68 years old. I just did the calculations for the float and will be putting it all together tomorrow. This is the best class for beginners and I'm sure experienced quilters also. Thank you Gyleen for making it look so easy and the best part is that it is easy. What a wonderful teacher. I also have the Pineapple (Hugs an Kisses) class by Gyleen and I'm applying the border to that quilt.

This tutorial makes something that could be very difficult, much more understandable and doable. As Gyleen says, just follow the formula step by step and it will work.
You will watch her do it, and see that indeed it does.
I was interested in this class because it can be used in any other quilt as well.
Thank you Gyleen for this excellent class. I look forward to many more with you as instructor.

This is an excellent class. Gyleen's instructions are clear and concise and easy to follow and understand. As a math nerd, I would like to have seen her step by step "why's" of the calculations....but at the end of the day I'll just keep a cheat sheet handy of her formula. I've been a quilter for many a year and usually stay away from pieced borders because of the difficulty in getting a float border just right. No more----I'm anxious to put this class to good use. Thank you for an excellent class at a bargain price. This is well worth the cost....I look forward to seeing more of Gyleen in the future.

You're telling me that 5 stars is the maximum grade I can give this video??? You should have watched me put a floating border inside my outside border on a recent quilt I made! I got it done, but I was nervous the whole time and actually amazed that it fit. With Gyleen's instructions and formulas the task is a "piece of cake"!! I'll plan more quilts with fancy borders from now on.

I have listened to other instructors explain the float border and not understood what they were talking about. Gyleen makes it "elementary, Watson". I had the "ah ha" moment. I will refer to this video each time I wonder "how am I going to connect this nice pieced border to my quilt?" Thanks Gyleen!
