Love working with these. I can get them done in no time to stitch together to give as gifts.

For those who are not familiar with these adorable patterns, they are the vintage Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam patterns. These timeless patterns of innocent Childhood are purposely headless and faceless. Their clothes and Hats and the activities they are involved in, is what gives them their charm and playfulness.

These are great patterns especially for novice seamstresses and needle workers as they are easy to sew and stitch. One doesn't have to worry about facial features, which can be harder for new sewers, and stitchers.

The boys are cute worked up but if you look at the bodies too long you see that they are not just boys with a hat but headless boys with bad proportions. The little girls from the red quilt are a little better proportioned. Some of these boys have huge bodies or feet. The best one is the one carrying the bucket. One boy has a wiggly side. I don't want to spend a lot of time fishing them so they don't look headless and maybe I am the only one who will notice.
