I recently purchased this pattern, and am absolutely delighted with both it, and the service I received. I've already started the "rose in winter", substituting purple for the dark red, and it looks stunning. I would heartily recommend buying from Annie's Attic. Very courteous to deal with. I will certainly be using them again...

These 2 afghan patterns, Rose of Winter and Nosegays, look absolutely stunningly gorgeous! I gave them a 5 for their wonderful charming beauty, but have not purchased them yet. They look hard, but say they are intermediate which I am able to do. I have one question before buying. Are the flowers crocheted in as you work the block or are they done separately and applied to the block after the block is done? Thank you to anyone who has done it and can help me out.
Annie's Customer ServiceMarie - In the Rose of Winter afghan, the flower motif is worked and then you will begin the block in the back of the flower and work out. For the Nosegay afghan, the blocks and flowers are all worked separately.
