EXCLUSIVELY ANNIE'S QUILT DESIGNS: Prismatic Quilt Pattern

I really like the look of this quilt pattern. But I must agree that the instructions could be clearer. I found myself reading, re-reading and then finally, cutting my blocks. When I laid out my blocks I found myself following the diagrhams rather than the written word. I also re-did the math for the block sizing and found for me it worked out better. The pattern is a good one, but you need to read it over several times and check the diaghams before starting to cut. Then pay special attention when to the diagrams when sewing sewing the blocks together as the pattern is somewhat misleading. .

You have to pay very close attention to the pictures. Figures 4 and 5 show how the white sash (F rectangle) needs to be lined up and they are different for the left slant and the right slant blocks. This is not specifically called out in the directions, so if you mark all of the F rectangles at the same time (Completing the Blocks step 5), all of your right slant blocks will be the wrong size! Instead, you should only mark 15 of the F rectangles as shown in Figure 4, then mark the other 15 as shown in Figure 5. I now have to decide if I want to rip all 15 blocks and start over (after I've already pressed them), or trim all 30 blocks to the smaller dimension and make the jelly roll strips uneven. Otherwise, the pattern is easy to follow and I like the design.
