I made this quilt last winter for a friend who had a new grandson. It turned out so cute. But the pattern was hard to figure out in some places. I finally just fused the pieces together as I wanted them and them cut the blocks so they would fit. The directions could have been better for putting the blocks together but it was not that hard. Worth making.

I made this for my 3 year old Grandson and he loved it. I used truck print flannel for the backing and it turned out great!!! So glad I found this pattern.

I followed directions and cut the pieces according to pattern. I wish there had been a template to help with the assembly of the many pieces. Because it was difficult to place them. After much fiddling I finally was satisfied. They were centered on each block. I fixed them to my background which I also cut larger per the directions. Fused and satin stitched. Then I am ready to trim excess off the background fabric. I am merrily trimming along on the smaller blocks. No issues there. I should have started with the larger. I get to those and apparently centering them didn't do the job entirely. AND because there were no assembly templates to show overlap my vehicles were larger. The dump truck is a real issue as I cannot trim the block to the correct size. And now I am faced with figuring out how to fix it. If I trim it to size, then the sashing will be at the top of truck bed and at the tires! If I leave it as is and increase the block size I have to do something on the other side so the blocks and sashing can be assembled. Right now I am a real unhappy camper!

These appliques are perfect for your young construction worker in the making, or for that adult who loves his machines. Directions are simple to follow, and the design is simple enough to make more that one in a short period of time. Thank you, Annie's.

My concern is that the pattern is printed on both sides of the paper so when you cut one piece, you mess up the pattern on the back of the page. Which means, you have to make your own copies of the pattern pieces. PS: I received this as a gift from my sister to make for my grandson.
