Dogs in Sweaters Quilt Pattern

I love, love, love this pattern! There are a lot of tiny pieces, but the results are so worth it. I think this is an easy pattern to put together and a beginner would be fine. The hardest part is keeping all the pieces sorted out. I ended up using an erasable pen and writing the corresponding alphabet on the back of each piece as I cut it. That solved the confusion. I used batiks for the sweaters and it is a very bright, cheerful quilt. It makes me smile every time I look at it. I was even thinking it would be adorable as a monthly wall hanging done up in "theme of the month" sweaters, i.e., Christmas fabric for December, hearts for February, St Patrick's for March, etc.

There are a lot of pieces for each block but the end results are worth the effort. I bought this for my daughter in law for her birthday. She will love it.

I received the pattern a few days ago. Not sure if I'm glad I ordered it or not. The instructions seemed to be great and very clear about what to cut but the problem is the number of cuts necessary to make each dog block. Each block requires over 36 different pieces, some only little over 1" Believe this pattern should have been paper pieced to have an good outcome of the block and should have a rating of very experienced quilter. It's a very cute idea for a child but would take a long time to make a sizeable quilt with that many pieces.
