The koru, which is often used in Maori art as a symbol of creation, is based on the shape of an unfurling fern frond. Its circular shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement, and its inward coil suggests a return to the point of origin. Knit with 850-1020 (1020-1190, 1190-1360, 1360-1530, 1530-1700) yards #1 fingering-weight yarn at a gauge of 24 stitches and 28 rows per 4" using U.S. size 5/3.75mm needles.

Finished measurements:
  • To fit bust: 32 (36, 40, 44, 48)"
