Annie's Online Classes
What is an Annie's Online Class?
Annie's Online Classes are video classes that cover specific interest areas in a variety of craft categories. Designers and experienced instructors, who are leaders in their field, create and instruct the video classes, using demonstration as a way to teach the tips and techniques they are known for. You can view the video classes at your convenience, as many times as you like, and can ask questions that will get personalized responses from your instructors.
Do I get any projects or patterns with my class?
Most Annie's Online Classes include projects and patterns as part of the class material. Project instructions and patterns are available as a PDF download.
Can I preview a class before I buy it?
You can watch a short preview of each class to learn more about the class and the skill level required. Click on the play button you see on the title photo of each class to watch the free preview.
Can you explain the skill levels used for classes?
Beginner
Class and projects are suitable for first-time crafters with no experience in the class technique. Basic, fundamental instruction is part of the class curriculum, giving students the ability to complete easy, beginner-level projects.

Confident Beginner
Class and projects are suitable for crafters who are familiar with the class technique and have basic, beginner-level skills.

Intermediate
Class and projects are suitable for crafters who are fully competent in the basic skills of the class technique and have taken those skills to the next level with more complicated projects, stitch patterns and techniques within the craft.

Experienced
Class and projects are suitable for crafters who are competent in advanced projects, stitches and techniques. Class and projects are designed for crafters seeking a new challenge to further their crafting skills.
How many times can I watch the class?
Once you have purchased the class, you may watch it as many times as you would like.
Can I bookmark my video to hold my place if I have to pause it?
We'll remember your place for you! You simply need to close your browser when you're ready to stop watching the video and when you come back, the video will resume where you stopped watching it. Or you can choose to watch the video from the beginning.
How long do I have access to classes I purchase?
Once you purchase a class, you will have access to it for as long as you want. It will be stored on your "My Classes" bookshelf at Annie's, and is available anytime you want to view it.
What are some of the special advantages of Annie's Online Classes?
Our classes are created and taught by professional instructors and designers, and we guarantee that the information and patterns you receive will be technically edited and correct.
Can I interact with the class instructor?
Yes! You'll be able to ask the instructor questions about any class you registered and paid for. To do this, click the Ask the Instructor button from that class page. The instructor will get back to you within 2 to 3 business days.
How do I submit a question to the class instructor?
Log in to "My Classes," then select the class in your library for which you have a question. Click on the "Ask the Instructor" button to submit a question directly to the instructor.
I submitted a question to an instructor. How will I know when the instructor has answered it?
You will receive an email notifying you when the instructor has answered your question. The instructor's response will be in My Notebook on that class page.
What should I do if I can't get the same supplies the instructor uses?
All our instructors use fairly common supplies, many of which are carried by Annie's. However, if you are unable to get the specific brand used, you can easily find a substitute at your local craft retailer. Just be sure to purchase items with the same specifications, such as yarn type that matches the gauge the project pattern calls for. Your success in completing any of the class projects is not based on using the exact same supplies the instructor used.
How can I suggest a class or an instructor?
If you'd like to recommend an instructor or you have a great idea for a class, you can contact us at Class_Suggestions@AnniesCatalog.com.
Can I teach a class?
If you would like to teach a class, please send us an email at Class_Suggestions@AnniesCatalog.com, and include your bio, a description of the class you would like to teach and a link to your website.
Can I save the class to my computer or mobile device?
The classes you purchase will always be available on your "My Classes" bookshelf for instant online viewing, but we do not support downloading and saving these classes to your device.
Do the online classes have closed captioning?
Yes. To access closed captioning, click the play button to start the video. Then, click on the CC icon on the right side of the play bar. Next, select "English" to see closed captions for the class.


Purchasing an Online Class
Where do I find the list of classes you offer?
Just go to AnniesCatalog.com and click on the Online Classes tab. Select the craft area of interest and you will see the available classes, along with a brief description of each. Click on individual classes for more information and preview video segments.
How do I purchase an Annie's Online Class?
To purchase an online class, just add it to your shopping cart and check out as usual. You will then receive an email with instructions for viewing the class online and downloading any associated class materials. You can always return to your "My Classes" bookshelf on the AnniesCatalog.com website and find all purchased online classes there.
How do I watch an online class once I purchase it?
Log in to your account by clicking on My Classes, then select the class you want to watch and hit the "play" button.
Can I order a class by phone and have it delivered to my house?
We do offer some of the classes in a DVD format and you can order those on our website or call us to order them. You can see the classes offered as DVDs here.
Can I change, cancel or delete an order for an online class?
Orders for Annie's Online Classes cannot be changed or canceled since they are delivered immediately electronically. If you experience a technical problem, please contact customer service. If we can't resolve the problem for you, we'll refund your money.
When will I have access to my online classes?
As soon as your transaction is complete, you will have access to your online video classes and materials. Just click on "My Classes" from your receipt page to access your purchases.


Payment
How much do classes cost?
Class cost varies depending on the class being taught. Please refer to the class information for specific cost.
Are there shipping costs?
No. All videos are available online, along with the patterns and instructions, so there are no shipping costs.
Can I pay for my online class with PayPal?
Yes. Annie's is a proud partner of PayPal.
Can I order online classes by phone or mail?
Due to the digital nature of our video classes, you can only order them at our website.
Can I purchase online classes without a credit or debit card?
We only accept credit cards, debit cards or pre-paid credit cards issued by a major bank online for payment. Sorry, we do not accept checks or cash in payment for online classes, nor can you order the online classes over the phone.


Viewing My Online Class
How do I view my online class once I purchase it?
Click on "Login" or "My Classes" to log in using the information provided during your checkout. After logging in, you'll see an option for "My Classes," which will take you to the list of classes you have purchased.
How many times can I watch the class?

How do I make the screen larger?
To enlarge the viewing area, hover over the bottom of the video screen until a box shows across the bottom of the screen. Then click on the arrow that point up and down and the screen will enlarge. If you want to make it smaller, just click on the arrows again.

How can I repeatedly watch a portion of a video?
You can repeat sections of a video at in 30, 60, and 90 second increments. This allows you to view something repeatedly that you might not understand the first time repeatedly until you turn off the repeat feature. To turn on the repeat feature, just click on "30, 60, or 90" showing at the bottom of the screen. When you're ready to stop repeating, click or tap on "Turn off repeat."
How do I turn on the closed captioning?
To access closed captioning, click on the play button to start the video. Then click on the CC icon on the right side of the play bar. Next, select "English" to see closed captions for the class.
I'm having trouble playing my class.
Sometimes a temporary Internet service disruption or slow-down may cause problems such as stopping and starting or a delay in the video starting. It's best to close out of the video and then restart it, letting the video buffer to 20 or 30 percent before clicking the play arrow. If you continue to have trouble, please contact Customer Service at Customer_Service@AnniesCatalog.com.
I submitted a question to the instructor. How will I know when the instructor has answered it?
You will receive an email notifying you when the instructor has answered your question. The instructor's response will be in My Notebook on that class page..


Technical
Are there system requirements to view the classes?
If your computer system was manufactured in the past few years, you should be set-up to view the classes. We do recommend making sure your browser is up-to-date, whether you use Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari or others, as that will help ensure your experience is superb.
Can I view the classes if I have dial-up Internet?
If you can successfully view other videos online, then your dial-up connection should be adequate. We do not recommend this access speed for an optimal experience, unfortunately.
Can I access the classes from my mobile device?
You can access your purchased classes from any mobile device, both tablet and non-tablet (phones, iPod Touch, etc.) but our classes are best viewed on tablets or computers.

How do I sign in to watch my classes?
Click on "Login" or "My Classes" to log in using the information provided during your checkout. After logging in, you'll see an option for "My Classes," which will take you to the list of classes you have purchased.
What do I do if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, please fill out the form on this page to create a new password. We'll send an email to you with a link to reset your password. Just click on the link in the email and enter the new password.
How do I get special discounts and offers from Annie's?
It's easy! Log in to your account and select "Manage My Account" located in the top right corner. Click on "User Profile" to update your name or change your email address. Then the next time you visit the site, log in with your new email address.
