Designed by Brianna Moore, the Seafarer’s Hat is a perfect easy pattern! The hats use two different colors and front post and back post double crochets to create the brim. With worsted weight yarn, this project stitch’s up quickly and could useful for those last-minute holiday gifts.

This design was made for The Seamen’s Church Institute, an organization that provides pastoral care, maritime education, and legal and advocacy services for mariners. The organization runs Christmas at Sea, a volunteer crocheting and knitting program that collects handmade hats, scarves, cowls, socks and vests with toiletries and other goods to send to mariners who work far from home during the holiday season.
